Considering their relationship thus far, American singer and actress Selena Gomez has once again professed her love for Nigerian Afro-rave sensation Rema.

She expressed her love for the “Spider Man” crooner and expressed her happiness at him surpassing his peers during her appearance on the most recent episode of the VA 100 of the New York podcast.

She added that even before the “Calm down” magic, she had been a fan of Rema.

She said:

Before I fell in love with “Calm down,” I was actually in love with the song “Runaway.” I really did think highly of him. However, the remix of “Calm Down” was entirely his idea.

“I must admit that when I first met him, I was very impressed by his humble nature and his appreciation for every moment in life.”

Additionally, I was unable to choose another person who I believed deserved all of this success. He’s really sweet. I’m not sure, I just want to look after him [laughs].

Ever since they collaborated on the song “Calm Down,” Selena Gomez has been open about how Rema’s influence has transformed her life.
