Rema is currently considered the greatest Afrobeat singer of all time, according to veteran Nigerian rapper Ice Prince.

In a recent interview, he revealed this while talking about the direction Afrobeat is taking.

He claims that he is pleased to see Afrobeat flourish under the direction of young people. He went on to say how much he respects Rema’s aptitude and abilities.

He expressed his opinions and added that it didn’t matter to him if people thought of him as a legend or not.

Speaking of the young men (artists) and their acceptance of me, their love for me, and their regard for me as a legend, I just wanted to express how very proud I am of them.

I consider Rema to be among the world’s greatest musicians at the moment. I’m quite pleased with the state of Nigerian music. We are in capable hands, I am sure of it. Our great-grandchildren benefit from what is already in place.
