Afrobeats is the biggest music genre in Africa because of the incredible Afrobeats artists that have taken the music genre to the next level over the last 10 years. 

Numerous music artists have rocked the Nigerian music industry but this set of musicians is different because they are talented, hardworking, and creative.

Likewise, they are passionate about taking the music genre to the next level by introducing it to the world not just in Africa but other continents which includes Europe, America, and others.

There are hundreds of Afrobeats artists in the Nigerian music industry at the moment but these are the most successful based on their career, music influence, collaboration both local and international, number of streams, recognition, and awards.

 

Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun is popularly known as Wizkid, he was born on 16 July 1990 in the Ojuelegba suburb of Surulere, Lagos.

He came into the limelight in the Nigerian music industry in 2009 when dropped his first hit song titled Holla at Your Boy under Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E).

 

At the moment, Wizkid is the biggest and most successful music artist in Nigeria. He has been at the top for over 10 years and is still one of the best. He is so talented, creative, and hardworking.
